Seven Police Officers Killed, Patrol Vehicle Set Ablaze In Zamfara attack.

A Police patrol team have been attacked by suspected bandits killing Seven police personnel along the Tofa-Magami Road in the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The spokesperson of the Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, Awwal Ruwan-doruwa who spoke to newsmen confirmed that seven dead bodies of the slain police operatives were brought to the hospital.
An indigene of the area, Salisu Sani, told The PUNCH that the incident occurred about 6pm on Monday when the police personnel went to the area on patrol mission.
According to Sani, “The bandits ambushed the police personnel, killed seven of them and set their operational vehicle ablaze.”
“I saw their dead bodies being evacuated to Gusau.”
Report said the bandits were in large number as they engaged the police operatives in a gun battle, which resulted to the death of seven of the police personnel on the spot.
Meanwhile, spokesperson of the state police command, SP Mohammed Shehu, is yet to release a statement over the killing even as he is yet to respond to the calls to his phone.
