Senator Ordia Mourns The Passing Of Music Maestro, Sir Prof. Victor Uwaifo.

“I was startled to my marrows by the sad news of the transition to eternal glory of a legendary Musician, songwriter, multiple instrumentalist, academic, Sculptor, art enthusiast and musical instrument inventor; Prof. Sir Victor Efosa Uwaifo, ardent custodian and promoter of Benin culture, tradition and language.
“Known to be one of the most educated musicians in Africa who got to the apogee of his academic career of becoming a university Professor.
“He was a well-accomplished man with unparalleled fervour for excellence which paved way for him to becoming the first in different spheres. In the academia, he graduated with a first-class B. A Honours, secondly, he was the first musician to win the gold disc award and many others.
“Indeed Nigeria, Africa and the world has lost a rare gem whose beautiful memories will continue to live in the hearts of many who experienced his epochal days on earth.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Edo Central Senatorial District, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the government of Edo State, the Oba of Benin the family of Sir Prof Victor Uwaifo for this irreparable and irreplaceable loss. I pray most ernestly that God will give all of us the fortitude to accept that he lives on to the glory of God.”
