Senator Ordia Facilitates 250 Constituents Over Federal Government Special Covid19 Intervention Program

The 250 names nominated from Edo Central Constituency for the Covid19 special Intervention Program fund have started receiving their stipends from the federal government.

The 250 beneficiaries were facilitated by Senator Clifford Akhimiemona Ordia, senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District of Edo State, in the national assembly, he disclosed this during the week, to Urban Scoop Media in a phone chat over the issue.

The senator has also facilitated the training of youths and women on skills acquisition and other fields.

In his words; “I am glad to announce that the 250 constituents I nominated for the Federal Government Special Covid-19 intervention Programme have started getting their stipends.”

“Thank you my ever supportive constituents for the privilege to serve you”.

Recall that recently senator Odia, trained and empowered women and youth on Poultry Farming to boost their source of livelihood.

The two days intensive empoernment Program/skill acquisition training which commence on Thursday last week at the Okaijesan town hall, Irrua was supervised by National Directorate of Employment and DZAVESON CONSULTANT LTD.

Senator Clifford Akhimiemona Ordia, addressing the participants, said the training was facilitated in his bid to ensure youths of the senatorial district were self-employed through productive entrepreneurial skills.

According to him, “I believe in sustainable empowerment rather than consumables empowerment, and that informs the reason I’m organizing this training as part of my constituency project”.

At the end of the training programme, participants were once more empowered with start-up capital of #200,000.00 each and certificate of training.
