Scarlet Group of Schools Wins the 2021 Ewu Book Fair Inter-school Debate Contest!


…As Idunwele Primary School wins Spelling Bee for juniors!

Ewu 5th November, 2021.

The Ewu Book Fair 3rd Edition was a huge success as over 20 public and private schools across Esanland including writers, authors and book publishers participated in the biggest educational event in the region.

The prestigious Scarlet Group of Schools Ewu won the highly competitive Inter-school debate segment while the Idunwele Primary School, Ewu won the spelling bee contest for juniors. Winners were presented with trophies and prizes including books as every participating students went home with a book.

High points of the event included the public presentation and launching of the three new released books titled: “What Have I Done?” By Miss Ivie Ahianbale; “The Fate of a Brave Hunter”, by Ehizojie Osiri Sadoh and “How Angels Look Like”, by Osajele Godsent Jomo.

Saintmoses Eromosele, African Youngest most prolific author of the Book “The Winds of Life” graced the event and lead the book launch with a sum of fifty thousand naira. Saintmoses thereafter awarded scholarship to Miss Ivie Ahianbale, the latest author in town for her further education. The scholarship was awarded on behalf of Oneghesele Foundation.

Engr Fidelis Edokpa the president of Ewu Progress Foundation who anchored the event as the central master of Ceremony launched the book with a huge sum on behalf of his family and his organization.

Other supporters of the event and book launch included: Edo Dynasty United Organization led by Comrade Brown Ehigie Osemwengie; Rev Albert Oboh, PA Sunday Okosun, Mr Ededewanlen Ofino, Engr Daniel Jatto, Mr Agbozuadu Uneme Omoarelogie (Editor of Explorer Magazine).

Very worthy of mention is Mr. Kingsley Ohens and Prince Tijani Ojeifo who contributed time, money and expertise to realize this year edition.

On behalf of the Ewu Book Fair organizers, we appreciate all those who made out time to support and attend this year edition most especially those who came from far to attend the event. The Sacred Heart Girls Model Secondary Ubiaja, Ikekato Secondary School, Irrua, Austine Beth Group of Schools, Shaka Momodu Memorial College Irrua, the school from Ugbegun and many others.
