PICTURES: THE ONGOING IDIJIE COMMUNITY ROAD PROJECT IN ESAN NORTH EAST LGA, MATTERS ARISING.
Our attention has been drawn to series of viral videos making the round concerning the on going Idijie Community Road project in Uromi, whose purpose was intended to cause disaffection amongst our unsuspecting party faithfuls and the general public.
As a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Edo State Governor in Esan North East, i am in position to state the current state of affairs of the on going Idijie Community Road Project as against the misleading and spurious contentions of our distractors.
At this junction, it is pertinent to state very unambiguously and emphatically that :
(i) That the idijie Community Road project, is work in progress and is on going.
(ii)That this Road project was awarded by the Edo State Government to a reputable indigenous Contractor Erylaston International Ltd whose record of previous performance remained unblemished
(iii)That the supervisory Ministry of the Idijie Road project is the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and NOT Hon Emmanuel Ewah Okoduwa.
(iv)That Hon Emmanuel Ewah Okoduwa as part of his oversight function and in response to the yearning and aspirations of the good people of his constituent, particularly the Idijie Community, and using the instrumentality of his office, did nominate the Idijie Road Project as one of his numerous constituency projects to his credit which was graciously approved by H.E. Mr Godwin Obaseki to the admiration of the people of Idijie Community in particular that have lived in anguish for over three decades because of the deplorable conditions of the road. “Hope alive, promise Kept”
(v)That our people should harbour no fear whatsoever about the integrity of the project as the impostor want the unsuspecting public to believed as Engineers from the Supervisory Ministry regularly visit the project site for quality control and ensures that standard best practices are religiously followed in the job execution by the contractor.
Lastly, we imploy our teaming supporters and party faithfuls to continue to have faith in the polices and programmes of the Governor Obaseki’s Administration as well as the quality representation that have been engendered by Hon. Emmanuel Okoduwa. One good tenure of office deserves another. We cannot succumb to the cheap political blackmail and shenanigans of our distractors who sees nothing good in the various milestone alread achieved in various sectors.
NB: The pictures below shows the state of the road project before the reconstruction and now, work still in progress.
Hon Goddie Ogun
SSA to the Edo State Governor,
Esan North East LGA,
Writes from Uromi.
