“No doubt, the COVID-19 Pandemic, coupled with the existing economic woes and insecurity has been threatening the fabrics of the family unity, that of our country and state, but we must unite as a people and ignite our indomitable spirits so that we can overcome and emerge victoriously.

“The year will unfold, we cannot cease to live in it or deny its existence. It is during hard times that strong men and women are made.
“No matter how disconcerting our individual or collective existence may be now, we must always remind ourselves we are irrepressible, we must pursue our resourcefulness legally so that the challenges we have encountered and may still encounter won’t suppress us.
“My dear good people of Edo State, I, therefore, call on you to be hopeful, be prayerful, be obedient to constituted authorities, and continue to work towards sustainable peace, unity, and progress of our State and nation.
“I am certainly hopeful and wish every citizen of Edo State to be hopeful too as there are several lights in the end of the tunnel. Let’s be collaborative in our wishes and prayers for a better Edo State.
Let’s be deliberate in our joint ventures as stakeholders in the State in ensuring that the State Governor succeeds in his mandate, that the State is tranquil and safe, that the State is united and makes transformative progress in all socio-economic and political facets. I pray that the year 2022 and beyond will be better for us all.
