Hon. Joseph Ikpea Urges Muslims To Uphold Virtues Learnt During Ramadan.

Edo State former Commissioner for Oil Gas and Solid Minerals and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Joseph Ikpea has urged Muslims to uphold the sterling virtues learnt during the Ramadan fast

Hon. Ikpea, who made the urge in his message to the Muslims in Esan South East, the state and other parts of Nigeria, in commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast .

Ikpea enumerated such noble virtues to include : Piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect and love for one another .

The former Commissioner said that, the Ramadan fast provided an auspicious moment for reflecting on the essence of life and that of being real brothers’ keepers .

He said :” The Month of Ramadan was a rare opportunity that the Almighty Allah affords any lucky Muslim.

“It was a month of intense worships, absolute Piety and pity for one another .
Its a month of equality and collectively .

“To be blessed and honoured to be alive to witness the month is an invaluable opportunity and none should discard the lessons learnt in it.’

Hon. Ikpea further appealed to Nigerian Muslims, to use the period of the Sallah celebrations to offer fervent prayers for sustainable peace, unity and socioeconomic prosperity of Nigeria.

He also called for such prayers, for divine plausible solutions to the recurring security challenges in the state and Nigeria, as a whole .

Ikpea noted that, all Nigerians had the Civic and moral obligations, to positively contribute towards making the Nigerian project a huge success .

The APC chieftain further stated,” We have no any other country to call our own than Nigeria .

” It is therefore incumbent upon all of us, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences, to work assiduously towards ensuring the success of the Nigerian project .”
