First Round of Edo Central Science Quiz Competition to hold on Thursday this week!

The prestigious Edo Central Science and Mathematics Quiz Competition, an Esanwide educational event aimed at igniting interest in science based subjects, shall hold this coming Thursday, the 23rd day of September 2021, EYO secreteriat has revealed.

Speaking to newsmen in Ewu, the headquarters of Esan Youths Organization (EYO), Comrade Kingsley Ohens, on behalf of the Organizing Committee said, “modalities are nearly completed in view of a hitch free Esanwide Educational event.

We are calling on all the school managements of senior secondary schools in Esanland to please take note of the date and prepare their students addequately for the highly competitive event.

It’s going to be a fight of Titans as Esan schools can boast of the best brains in Nigeria despite the challenges currently facing the Esan league of schools.

Our organization ensured that all the schools, big or small, private or public, across the over 35 kingdoms in Esanland are given a level playing ground to participate to win trophies and prizes.

The first round shall hold concurrently on Thursday from 9am in all the central schools in the 5 LGA headquarters in the Senatorial District. While the grand finale shall hold next week Thursday the 30th day of September 2021 at Idunwele Girls Secondary School, Ewu.

A total of 4 schools each shall emerge from the first round to participate in the grand finale. Schools, stakeholders and participants are to see newspaper, posters, banners and social media for details”, he disclosed to Radio Esan.

Edo Central Science and Mathematics Quiz Competition has the approval and backing of the Edo State Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology who are the quality and standard control agencies of all inter-school events in the state.
