The House of Assembly hopeful for Esan North East Constituency II, Hon. Princess (Mrs.) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko ESQ, has congratulated Muslims in the country as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In her sallah message, she calls on the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the good virtues of personal sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, in Eld-El-Kabir Sallah celebration.
Hon. Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko, reminded everyone on the need to remain each other’s keeper as the anchor for peaceful co-existence and for a better tomorrow.
Hon. Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko said Eid-El-Kabir is a time for forgiveness, sober reflection and sacrifice which should also be dedicated to prayers for love and peace to thrive throughout the nation.
“EID-EL-KABIR is a time to usher in love, sacrifice, reflect in the similarity in our various beliefs & the true essence of our various religion which is to propagate love & peace”. Hon. Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko said.
She finally urged Nigerians to maintain eternal vigilance as we face this great challenge of insecurity. We must organise our vigilantees on our streets, communities, so that we are not caught unawares. Our locals cannot join the foreigners in this kidnapping business, so that we are not consumed. We must be proactive. Things have changed, we must know that and plan and also work with government for our survival as a people.
She prayed her Constituency to live peacefully with one another irrespective of their religious affiliations.
