The Ebakota Movement has commended the PDP Senatorial Caucus in Edo Central Senatorial District for standing on the principle of rotation between Agbazilo and Okpebholo regarding elective offices and also pronouncing the Third Tenure bids of the current NASS members dead on arrival during its meeting over the weekend.

In a well attended meeting of the PDP leaders in Edo Central with all the notable aspirants to the National Assembly in attendance, the caucus, unequivocally, stated that the principle of rotation between Agbazilo and Okpebholo will be maintained. In the words of the convener who is also the State Vice Chairman of the PDP, Bishop Anthony Okosun Phd,; ” It *is settled, that in Edo Central Senatorial District, Third Tenure does not exist and there is a conventional agreement for rotation of elective offices between Agbazilo and Okpebholo”*

Speaking on the issue of the third tenure, the host and undisputed leader of the PDP in Edo Central, Senator Magnus Odion Ugbesia said; *” The issue of Third Tenure in our Senatorial District was laid to rest by the delegates through the party leadership in 2015 when we were denied our bids for Third Tenure* ”

The Ebakota Movement stands firmly with the decisions reached by the leadership of the party and we urge all delegates to as usual, key into the directives of the leaders. The bedrock of the PDP in Edo Central that has kept the party firmly in control is the respect and reverence for leadership directives. This pillar should not be destroyed.

We also wish to commend the leadership qualities displayed by the host and undisputed leader of The PDP in Edo Central Senatorial District, Elder Magnus Odion Ugbesia. The successful hosting of the meeting which brought together all the leaders of the party, has automatically placed the mantle of leadership left behind by our late leader, Chief Tony Anenih on Senator Odion Ugbesia. The Ebakota Movement has confidence in his ability to unite and lead the PDP and indeed Esan people to the promise land in 2024. Like was noted during the meeting, leaders are not appointed or elected, they evolve.
