DELSAN Inaugurates Chapter Coordinators.
The Delta State Law Students’ Association Of Nigeria (DELSAN) on Wednesday the 28th of December, 2021 inaugurated chapter coordinators from various insistutions of higher learning in Nigeria, into its Central Executive Council.
DELSAN, which is the umbrella body for all indigenes of Delta State who are actively pursuing a law degree at either the undergraduate (university) or law school level, used the opportunity to hold its last Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting for the year 2021.
The Inauguration of the DELSAN chapter coordinators which took place virtually, had fourteen (14) newly appointed Chapter Coordinators drawn from 14 respective universities in Nigeria, and other members of the Central Executive Council (CEC) in attendance.
The *Director of Legal at the Delta State House of Assembly -* *Mr Smart Edogie (Esq.)* was the *Special Guest* at the virtual Inauguration. He began his speech by first of all commending the leadership of the Association led by Fortune Toma for taking the initiative to come together under one voice in the overall interest of it’s members. While making particular reference to the DELSAN Law School Scholarship scheme, he praised the Association for being able to stick its neck out for some of its indigent members by raising funds to support their legal education at the Law School.
He went further to admonish the new appointees, members of the NEC and other members of the CEC present, stressing on the need to work unanimously as an association in order to achieve set goals. As he recurrently emphasized – Strength is always with Unity. The Director of the state House of Assembly also stressed on the overall importance of solidarity and pointed out that standing united may not necessarily mean that disagreements may not arise. He went ahead to enthuse that in times when there are common lofty goals to achieve, then one must disagree to agree. He concluded his remark by enjoining all its leaders to remain committed to making true impact, and that should the leadership continue in the path it had set out, the Association would surely be driven to greater heights.

(University of Ibadan);
Others include: Kokole Eniokpoemi (Benson Idahosa university); Abandy Miracle Ozioma (Enugu state university); Police Blessing Ufuoma (Igbenedion university.); Ikokwu Chiedozie Okoshishi (University of Abuja.); Iwuoha Chidinma Aghoghoghene (University of Uyo); Iyede Ezra Oghenevwayerhe (University of Calabar); Maduku Oritsetsola Gabriel (Obafemi Awolowo Universityd).
The coordinators were duly given their terms of reference (embodying their mandate, powers and responsibilities) and were further tasked with the duty of harmonising all students of Delta State origin in their various institutions.
