Crime reportage: Esan group honours Edo NUJ boss
Alenkhe was among the three persons of Esan nationality honoured at the occasion, including the Principal of Lumen Christy International School, Uromi, Rev. Fr. Theophilus Itama for Academic Excellence and Entrepreneurship as well as a retired Principal of Okalo Grammar School, Uromi, Mrs Veronica Okosodo Eromosele, for Outstanding Leadership and Innovativeness.

In a citation, Alenkhe was described as a deligent man who loves his job with passion.

He was also described as a man whose media experience has benefitted the entire Nigeria society through his television programme, Crime Watch and Crime Alert.

Speaking to newsmen after the award ceremony, the NUJ chairman paid tributes to the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS) for providing him with the enabling environment to distinguish himself.

He said that the recognition by EDAF is an impetus for him to be more committed to deligence in the performance of his job.
