APC Convention: Ahead of APC February Convention, GEDA Calls for Free, Fair and Peaceful Process.
Members of Grand Eminence Democratic Alliance (GEDA) a pro good governance advocacy group, yesterday, appealed to all contenders for the national chairmanship of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to place the interest of Nigeria and that of the the All Progressive Party(APC) ahead of personal, groups or other ambitions.
Hon. Victor Uzoma Emezu, National Coordinator/Founder, Grand Eminence Democratic Alliance (GEDA), who spoke via a statement today ahead of the scheduled February 2022 national convention of the party, said the convention is a litmor test for the country and also the party.
He advocated that all contenders for the position of national executives of the party needed to realize that the future of Nigeria and the people would be in the hands of the national executive that would midwife the selection processes of candidates the party would field for major elections in 2023.
GEDA, warned against doubting the credibility of the incumbent Chairman of Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala-Buni to conduct the convention.
Hon. Victor said: “There is no reason to doubt Buni or express fear about the credibility of CECPC to manage the national convention. APC is going to have a hitch-free convention that other parties will even emulate.
“I believe that all the indications for the conduct of the national convention are positive.
Grand Eminence Democratic Alliance is a political pressure group set out to make impact in the Nigeria electoral system.
